Design Brief

When designing a healthy snack package, it is important to consider both the functionality and the aesthetics of the design. The packaging should not only protect the product and keep it fresh but also catch the consumer's eye and convey the brand's values and commitment to healthy snacking

Designing the package for My Macros required a focus on conveying the health benefits of the product while also creating an attractive and functional design. By using a carefully selected color scheme, typography, and imagery, as well as ensuring the package is durable and easy to use, the crisp packages appeal to health-conscious consumers and stand out on store shelves. The design establishes My Macros’ identity as a uniquely healthy crisp in a competitive market.

The Challenge

Design Elements: The design of the overall package design had to be attractive and eye-catching, while also clearly conveying the product's health benefits. We incorporated colors, typography, and imagery that convey freshness and health.

Color Scheme: The color scheme of the package was carefully selected to reflect the natural and healthy ingredients used in the chips yet familiarity for customers with flavors already present in the market. Shades of red and yellow were used to suggest the use of natural ingredients like chili and cheese. Using bright, vibrant colors also assisted with improving visibility on store shelves.

Typography: The typography used on the package is easy to read and legible, even from a distance. It conveys a sense of energy and excitement, suggesting that the chips are a fun and healthy snack option. A focus on sans-serif fonts was used to convey a clean and modern aesthetic.

Imagery: Imagery is a key component of any package design. For My Macros, images of fresh ingredients, such as freshly cut peppers, conveyed the natural and healthy aspects of the product.

Designing the package for My Macros required a unique approach that takes into account the product's health benefits, taste, and overall appeal to set it apart from an already competitive market space - a design that was successfully molded through the design process.
